The GPS Foundation is built on the belief that a great majority of people on earth want peace. Peace is vital for a sustainable lifestyle to thrive. Peace is necessary to achieve a green planet and Sustainable Lifestyle to flourish. The GPS Foundation plans to become an umbrella for all recognised Peace Organizations and will liaise with and support the UN in every way possible.

The idea of establishing a Global Peace Center in Iceland is not new. Several important dignitaries and civilians over the years have expressed their opinion on this. Why; Because this well educated nation has no conflicts with other nations, it has no military and respects the rights of different colors, religions and genders to participate in discussions and decisions made on global scale.

This is our mission;

To become one strong Global Organization with its HQ in a country with the highest of recognised education standards and no military
To assist and liaise with the United Nations by offering neutral venues for Peace negotiations and conferences
To offer venues and Human Resources to help promote Sustainable living to the extent that is possible in view of the obstacles of warfare and hatred
Reserve land in Iceland, close to Reykjavik and its international airport. To accommodate The GPS Foundation and The United Nations to the extent necessary for their operations

Peace on Earth

Imagine all the carbon footprint damage we can turn into non pollution activities if we are successful negotiating peace in just one warfare case, like the Ukraine war.

Sustainable Living

Right now we can prepare for Sustainable Living by following the advice on little things like what we eat, how we shop, how we travel etc.

Why Iceland?

Iceland is a country with an established culture of being home to warm and loving people, a well educated nation; is always neutral on matters of conflict between nations; and proudly has no military.

What is GPS Foundation's main purpose?

Our Foundation’s main purpose is to change people’s attitudes towards two issues that both play a major role in everybody’s life and cause increasing concern towards our descendants future on Earth. They are Peace and Sustainable Living. The Global Peace and Sustainable Living Foundation’s (GPS Foundation) main tool to do this will be an Education Centre, built in several stages, depending on the growth of the operation and distance learning technologies. Becoming an umbrella over all reliable peace organisations will widen our and their horizon and give our Education Centre an increased value and possibility to reach good results.

Peace vs War
As stated in the Peace section, warfare is a considerable obstacle to success in dealing with Sustainable Living and even though it is becoming of utmost importance to prepare people everywhere for different Sustainable Living scenarios that may come to light as we move along it is difficult to prepare for the worst scenario unless we can make some progress in peace negotiations first.

GPS Foundation already has an eye on several very serious wars to be dealt with. Our Newsroom and Technical Centre have great tasks on their hands to prepare a secure basis for successful work on Peace before we can expect good results.

Sustainable Living
Despite the problems that warfare is causing to receiving good results in the Sustainable Living section, both sections will be activated from day one in the Education Centre. On top of Peace talks, information from our Newsroom and Technical Centre are also important for the Sustainable Living to be able to present good results in the beginning.

The Supporting Units
The Newsroom and Technical Centre’s main responsibilities are to feed the main two departments information they can rely on. The newsroom to collect information important to either of these departments and keep a database that allows quick access to them.

The Technical Centre has two main responsibilities, i.e. to make sure that Artificial Intelligence used in the operation is not interpreted in a way likely to cause misunderstanding and to take care of all cyber security for the whole operation.
